Interior view of a modern bar with a marble counter, orange chairs, green patterned tiles, and a well-stocked liquor shelf behind the bar.

Set along Toronto’s vibrant King Street East, Bar Ardo blends contemporary design with timeless elegance. The space balances the historical character of the neighbourhood building’s exposed brick and steel structure layered with new warm textures and detailing, creating a modern design aesthetic.

The design vision was to create a sophisticated and transformative space, shifting effortlessly from a bright and fresh lunch spot to an intimate evening experience. At the heart of the interior, a curved bar anchors the space with quiet grandeur. Its satin finish and subtle patina provide a nod to the past, while the arched back bar with a bronze-tinted mirror and smoked glass adds a layer of modern glamour. Rich textures and materials, including velvet banquettes in ocean blue, blush seating by the windows, marble tabletops, and sienna-red leather stools, create distinct zones that invite guests to linger and connect.

Bar Ardo offers a refined and luxurious experience, where contemporary design and warmth are set against the backdrop of a historic Toronto building.
